Vaisakhi Celebrated in Walsall with a Stunning Outdoor LED Screen
The Sikh Sangat in Walsall celebrated Vaisakhi with a massive community event, featuring a large outdoor LED screen set up at Sporting Khalsa Football Club in Willenhall.
The celebration was part of the Nagar Kirtan, which moved through Walsall starting from Guru Nanak Gurdwara Sahib and traveling to the Nanaksar Gurdwara (Pleck Gurdwara) on Wellington Street.
A massive effort saw hot, freshly-prepared food and drinks, including Indian tea and cold beverages, distributed from several stalls to all Sangat and public attendees.
The eye-catching LED screen, provided by an outdoor screen hire service, displayed inspirational Vaisakhi messages and photos of Sikh history. The religious atmosphere was enhanced by Dj Raajh providing Sikh religious Dharmik songs over the speakers.
